I completely LOVED this story! It was great to learn about SkyClan, and (spoiler alert) I was SO FREAKING SAD when Rainfur died and Shortwhisker (he will always be Shortwhisker to me) left the clan 😥
Having children and teaching them to love reading isn't always the easiest task. Having a child that suffers from a reading disability has proved rather difficult when it comes to sharing a love for reading. Finding a series that is entertaining enough to draw in someone who does not like reading is amazing. My son now looks forward to reading, asks if he can bring his book to read on trips, stays up late to read and actually enjoys it. This series is a wonderful way to introduce somewhat young readers into a series.
This book is a perfect example of how you can transfer feelings into words, all the warriors series is like that but I highly recommend you read the prophecies begin series before you read this one so you can get better meaning out of it... heck, read all of these books they really changed my life and made me see cats in a very different light!
This book was IMPOSSIBLE to put down! It takes place back in the forest of the clans a few seasons after Tigerstar and Bloodclan were defeated. Firestar has been having weird dreams of many cats yowling and fleeing walkway on a moor. He tries to help, but it is a dream. Later on, he returns to his old friend judge's house and in a dream is told that the fleeing cats were Skyclan, and we're forced out of the forest many many seasons ago, and as well he must travel very far and gather the scattered remains of Skyclan and rebuild it once more. Also, in the epilogue, Sandstorm has 2 she cat kits named Sqirrelkit and Leafkit. Once again Erin Hunter creates an amazingly wild adventure!
My favourite love affair in the Warriors series is the one that never happened, between Firestar and the medicine cat Spottedleaf, who dies in the very first book of the series. Well, in this book Spottedleaf comes back to help Firestar, and his partner Sandstorm, create a tribe out of the remnants of a very old tribe that was kicked out of the forest long ago.

This clan, Skyclan, was kicked out when the twolegs began building their nests, and the other four clans did nothing to help them. Turns out the other four clan leaders, now dead and part of Starclan, are ashamed of what they did. Firestar is called in to save the day.

Spottedleaf makes several key appearances in this book, and the confrontation between Sandstorm and Spottleaf is not to be missed, as Firestar's current love confronts his first love. It's handled awesomely by both cats.

And Spottedleaf's parting comment to Firestar, well, it's not to be missed.

All of the books that I have read so far in this series have been excellent! I was hooked from the very beginning and could hardly wait to purchase and download each one. I particularly liked the character Firestar and his willingness to try to get along even with the other clans that weren't always so willing to work together.

I thoroughly enjoyed the other characters in his clan as well, but as the younger characters were introduced, there was less of Firestar. When I saw this book, I knew I'd have another chance to enjoy my favorite character and quickly purchased it on my . I have been purposely taking my time to read this particular book, relishing every moment and every detail.

I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the series to anyone that loves cats. It has been true to the nature of cats in general and highly imaginative. I'm an adult that loves to read, but kids would love this series as well and there's nothing objectionable for them to read.

I would recommend these books to anyone, especially this one. Each character is written out so well, each detail described so vividly, you feel as if you are there, walking along side the ThunderClan leader as he rebuilds an entire Clan from scratch. This book will keep you hooked the whole time, suspense always lingering close by. The Warriors saga is my favorite book series, and this book is no exception.
